Tianna Downey, MDiv
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Are fear, stress, or unhelpful thoughts pulling you away from the life you want to create? Do you long to feel truly heard, understood, and connected in your relationships? Life’s deepest hurts and uncertainties can be difficult to navigate. I want you to know—you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a calm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns in a holistic and practical way, and at a pace that feels right for you.
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty setting boundaries, burnout, grief, depression, relationship or family challenges, and complexities around racial identity.
I also support children through an evidence-based, Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) approach and collaborate closely with caregivers to foster understanding and growth. I believe play is the natural language of children, allowing them to express and make sense of their inner world.
My approach is client-centred and tailored to your unique lived experience, drawing from evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and connected—in your relationships and within yourself. Together, we’ll work toward greater self-acceptance and practical ways to think, feel, and act in alignment with your values. Healing is rarely linear—but every step forward matters. Let’s take that first step together.
